The message of the mailwoman

She had just climbed a bridge, carrying big bags full of mail and lots of small packages.

I stopped because I saw she was struggling with the weight.

“The people have gone crazy”, she muttered.

“So many packages, how can you carry them all?”, I said. “Respect!”

She shrugged.

“Yesterday I wanted to quit. People are ordering so many things, we just cannot do it anymore. And for what?”

“Most things in those packages will only make you happy for two days”, I said.

“Five minutes”, she said, “and then you need to order something else.”

“Spread the word.”, she said, “Tell the people. They have gone crazy for more and more things.”
